A Prayer for Priests to St John Mary Vianney

Saint John Mary Vianney, with admiration we recall your detachment from the things of this world, your deep humility and your acceptance of humiliations; your courage in adversity and in the attacks of Satan; your purity, your union with God and your love of the Eucharist; your compassion for all people, especially for the sick, the poor and sinners. Come to the aid of the priests of our parish (diocese) as they strive to acquire the virtues by which you lived each day, so that they may become priests after God's own Heart. Amen
