A Prayer of St Urszula Ledóchowska

O Jesus, Eternal High Priest, Divine Victim, who in an incomparable surge of love for men, your brothers, made the Christian priesthood spring forth from your Divine Heart, do not cease to pour into your priests the life-giving streams of your infinite love. 

Live in them, O Lord, transform them into yourself, make them by the power of your grace the instruments of your mercy. Act in them and through them, and grant that, having clothed themselves wholly in you by the faithful imitation of your adorable virtues, they may perform, by the power of your name and of your Spirit, the works that you yourself accomplished for the salvation of the world.

Divine Redeemer of souls, look upon how many are still sunk in the darkness of error. Count the sheep that have gone astray, wandering above the abyss; look upon the crowds of the poor, the hungry, the ignorant and the weak, groaning in abandonment. Come back to us, O Jesus, through your priests. Live again in them in very truth, act through them, and pass once more through the world teaching, forgiving, consoling, offering yourself in sacrifice, and binding anew the holy bonds of love that join the Heart of God with the heart of man. Amen.
